ABOUT US
Coqueirão Pictures is an audiovisual production company based in Rio de Janeiro. Among its main productions are Cinema Novo (Cannes Film Festival 2016), O Brasil de Darcy Ribeiro (Best Doc Series - TAL Award 2015) and the virtual reality Under the Skin (Official Selection - IDFA 2020 and SXSW 2021). We also produced the feature films Alice & Só (2020), distributed by 20th Century Fox and Mundo Novo (Best Actress and Best Screenplay - Rio Film Festival 2021). The most recent release was the comedy A Última Festa (The Last Party), in co-production with Globo Filmes, Telecine, and Ar de Filmes, with distribution by H2O Filmes. Still being finished are the fiction feature A Festa de Léo, in co-production with Nós do Morro and Globo Filmes, a documentary about Jorge Amado, Dorival Caymmi and Carybé in co-production with Globo Filmes and Janela do Mundo, and another one about the world famous Maracanã stadium and its transformation in the last 20 years through the eyes of Enéas de Andrade, who was a stadium stretcher bearer for 30 years.
Diogo Dahl
Diogo Dahl começou a carreira trabalhando com o lendário produtor Luiz Carlos Barreto. Após completar sua pós-graduação na FGV-RJ, iniciou parceria com Paula Lavigne, para quem produziu O Coronel e o Lobisomem (2005). A partir de 2006 no entanto, começa a focar na sua produtora Coqueirão Pictures, onde produz docs e ficções premiados, enquanto mantém parcerias com grandes produtoras, sendo produtor executivo de filmes como Pluft 3D, da Raccord Produções e Aumenta que é Rock’n’Roll, da Luz Mágica.
