THE WATER EYED BOY

In Hermeto Pascoal's music, when we encounter the harmonic complexity and unravel its countless layers, what is revealed is a hauntingly simple sound, which refers directly to his childhood in the Alagoas backlands, in the town of Olho d'Água Grande. The film is built on three pillars: a current recording of a concert by Hermeto Pascoal in his 86th year, a dive into his childhood and his emotional memories and an interview with him, who produces what he does best: music.
